Job summary

Agave Wire, located in Rockwall, Texas, seeks a Quality Manager to lead and oversee the company's quality assurance and control. You will ensure products meet high standards by developing and maintaining quality systems, conducting audits, and guiding cross-functional teams in continuous improvement.

The role is on-site in Rockwall with responsibilities across internal audits, supplier audits, and investigation of customer concerns. A strong background in ISO 9001 is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years of work experience in Quality.
• 3+ years of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems and audits.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001.
• Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and manage the quality team; provide training and support.
• Conduct internal audits and supplier audits; drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues.
• Lead investigations of customer complaints and RMAs; verify effectiveness.
• Prepare quality performance reports for senior management.
• Lead ISO certification programs.

Quality Manager

Agave Wire is looking for a Quality Manager to lead and oversee the company's quality assurance and control functions. In this role, you will ensure that our products consistently meet the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems, conducting audits and inspections, and working with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. This position would be located on-site in Rockwall, Texas.

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Oversee the quality assurance and control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer expectations.
• Manage and mentor the quality team, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure product quality.
• Support customer, supplier, and other third-party audits.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure inspection and testing requirements are established and maintained for applicable products.
• Lead investigations of customer complaints, RMAs, and field quality concerns.
• Manage corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
• Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
• Lead ISO certification programs.
• Other job duties as assigned.

WHAT you need to possess.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related Engineering field
• 7+ years of work experience in Quality
• 3+ years of supervisory/managerial experience
• Sound problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to address quality issues and drive improvements.
• Experience with industry standards and certifications related to quality management in manufacturing.
• Detail-oriented with excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve quality goals.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in quality management software a plus.
