Job summary

World Tek Industries seeks a Hands-on Quality Manager to lead our quality team and ensure every component meets customer and regulatory specs. You will actively inspect on the shop floor and maintain ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 certifications.

Responsibilities include First Article Inspections, QMS oversight, metrology management, NCR investigations, and coordination with customers and suppliers. Strong GD&T and CMM skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years in a precision manufacturing or machining environment.
• Expert-level ability to read complex blueprints and apply GD&T.
• Experience leading audits for ISO 9001/AS9100.
• On-floor leadership and mentorship of inspectors and machinists.

Job Title: Quality Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Hands-On Quality Manager to lead our quality department and ensure every component leaving our facility meets strict customer and regulatory specifications. In this role, you will be more than an administrator; you will be active on the shop floor, performing critical inspections alongside your team while maintaining our ISO 9001/AS9100/ISO 13485 certifications.

Core Responsibilities

• Active Floor Inspection: Perform and verify First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process checks, and final buy-offs for high-tolerance machined parts and weldments.


• QMS Leadership: Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring audit readiness for ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 13485 standards.


• Metrology Management: Direct the calibration of all precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and oversee the operation/programming of CMM equipment.


• Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into non-conformances (NCRs) using tools like 8D, 5-Whys, or Fishbone to implement permanent corrective actions.


• Technical Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues and supplier audits.


• Team Development: Mentor and train inspectors and machinists on proper measurement techniques and GD&T interpretation.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.


• Technical Skill: Expert-level ability to read complex blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).


• Measurement Mastery: High proficiency with a wide range of precision hand tools and experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).


• Audit Experience: Proven track record of leading internal and external audits for ISO 9001 or AS9100.
