Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Quality Manager to lead people and processes at the Thomasville, GA campus. This onsite role oversees end-to-end quality for water filtration equipment, from manufacturing to final assembly, coordinating with Sr.

• BS degree in Engineering or Science field required
• ISO 9001 or equivalent experience required
• 5+ years of Quality Manufacturing experience required
• 5+ years of Quality Management experience preferred
• Certifications such as CQA, CQE, or Six Sigma Green Belt are a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of five direct reports using the MDI process
• Provide coaching, feedback and daily support
• Collect, analyze, and report on DPD, PPM, COPQ and NCRs
• Champion the 8‑Step problem solving methodology and RCCA activities
• Understand customer requirements and integrate feedback into quality processes
• Oversee the NCR process and ensure timely resolution
• Monitor supplier performance and lead supplier root cause investigations
• Partner with Engineering to track drawing improvements (ECMs)
• Develop and implement quality procedures and standards; maintain records
• Lead ISO 9001 certification efforts at the Thomasville site
• Manage Quality RMAs and drive corrective actions
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Model servant leadership and strong communication while enabling delivery

Quality Manager - People & Process Leader with 5+ Years of Quality Experience and a BS in Engineering or Science

The Quality Manager will oversee end‑to‑end manufacturing and fabrication of water filtration equipment, including laser and saw cutting, welding, painting, and final assembly. This role partners closely with the Sr. Quality Manager and the Thomasville Operations Director, working cross‑functionally to drive quality excellence and support key business objectives.

This is a fully on‑site role located at the Thomasville, GA campus. Standard working hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m

The Quality Manager is responsible for supporting all quality needs across the Thomasville operations.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop a team of five direct reports using the MDI (Manage for Daily Improvement) process
• Provide coaching, feedback, and daily support

Quality Data & Reporting

• Collect, analyze, and report on Customer DPD (Defects per Delivery), Supplier PPM (Parts per Million), COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality), and NCRs (Non‑Conformance Reports)

Root Cause & Problem Solving

• Champion the 8‑Step problem‑solving methodology
• Lead and support RCCA activities

Customer Focus

• Understand customer requirements and integrate feedback into quality processes

Non‑Conformance Management

• Oversee the NCR process and ensure timely resolution

Supplier Quality

• Monitor supplier performance and lead supplier‑related root cause investigations

Engineering Collaboration

• Partner with Engineering to track and resolve drawing improvements (ECMs)

Quality Systems & Documentation

• Develop and implement quality procedures and standards
• Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation
• Implement relevant quality checks and processes (e.g., PPAP)

ISO 9001 Leadership

• Lead the Thomasville site through ISO 9001 certification

Customer Returns

• Manage Quality RMAs and drive corrective actions

• Lead initiatives to improve quality performance and operational effectiveness

Additional Information

• Estimated salary range: $90,000–$130,000 plus bonus
• Actual starting pay depends on experience, skills, and location
