Position Overview:
The Quality Manager at IMH Products is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and implementation of quality control measures in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. This role involves directing quality teams across all IMH locations, managing quality staff at the Indianapolis headquarters, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The manager will conduct audits, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and adopt best practices. Additionally, the role includes managing the corporate training program to develop manufacturing personnel's skills, knowledge, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct all aspects of the quality management system across all plants, ensuring compliance with requirements and customer expectations.
- Improve people, capabilities, processes, and tools critical to the quality system.
- Maintain ISO 9001 standards, prioritizing continuous improvement projects.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality issues with customers and suppliers.
- Assess product quality, establish quality assurance standards, and utilize ERP systems for managing manufacturing processes and quality traceability.
- Conduct manufacturing process audits and quality assessments focused on critical processes.
- Manage PAPP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation to ensure parts meet specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with production to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Mentor the quality team and support their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in quality management within manufacturing, preferably metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, ISO 9001, CMM, PAPP documentation, Control Plans, Flow Charts, and APQP.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with a results-oriented approach.

- Mathematical skills for utilizing formulas and calculations.

- Physical ability to walk or stand for 8 hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform related physical tasks.
