Job description

We’re seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to lead our Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions, own our Quality Management System, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the site. In this role, you’ll lead a team of QC/QA professionals, champion ISO-9001:2015 compliance, and ensure our products and services consistently meet customer specifications and industry standards.

What You’ll Do
Leadership & People Management
  • Leads team of QC and QA-focused employees (both exempt and non‑exempt)
  • Manages workers engaged in Quality Control, Inspection, Testing activities and continuous improvement to ensure effective time management and high technical integrity.
  • Provides required training to new employees, as well as continuous instruction for improvement and development of direct reports
  • Completes performance evaluations of subordinates on an annual and as needed basis
  • Reconciles timecards for direct reports, by scheduling PTO in Kronos, adjusting schedules and correcting punch errors.
  • Enforces the company and departmental work rules and regulations, creates corrective actions as required.
  • Develops and delivers site‑wide quality training to ensure employee competency in QMS requirements, inspection methods, and quality expectations.
  • Performs ancillary duties as needed
QMS administration & compliance
  • Continues to stay up to date with all matters related to inspection, testing, measurement and analysis portions of ISO-9001:2015. Ensures that procedures, work instructions, internal audits, corrective actions, management reviews and other elements of the Quality Management System are maintained. Trains and assists each department manager with their roll in a QMS
  • Conducts Quarterly Management Review and other QMS reporting requirements as per ISO and WIKA Corporate guidelines.
  • Interacts with various cross-functional teams to drive QMS practices, behavior, and culture.
  • Manages site Document Control and ensures standards and protocols are followed.
  • Performs both internal and vendor audits; addresses findings with RC/CA tool. Also prepares and schedules all audits and re-certifications related to certificates filed by WIKA. Example, ATEX, FM, CSA, ISO, ASME, PED, IECE, 3A Sanitary, SIL and GOST.
  • Verifies all documentation and inspection reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner, beginning with the contract review followed through customer receipt.
  • Ensures QMS conformity, maintains QMS integrity during changes, and reports system performance and customer‑focus metrics to site leadership.
CI & Performance metrics
  • Drives Continuous Improvement (CI) in conjunction with the Corporate CI team
  • Tracks, analyzes and reports performance related to established quality objectives and the Cost of Poor Quality targets in order to drive a culture of Prevention
  • Drives continuous improvement actions based on analysis of NCR and CAR data.
  • Lead the application of quality tools, such as FMEA, APQP, control plans, and other structured tools, to strengthen process capability and mitigate risk.
Customer Quality & issue resolution
  • Investigates and corrects customer issues and complaints that relate to quality
  • Supports Customer Returns / Complaints with Customer Service, Sales, and Operations.
Nonconformance (NCR/CAR) & Corrective Action Management
  • Develops and investigates corrective actions to prevent the reoccurrence of quality issues
  • Manages NCR process by recording and tracking documentation of NCRs. Communicates all corrections and conducts training for each NLR.
Inspection, Testing, and Technical Standards
  • Works with Level II and III NDT personnel to document and implement inspection criteria and procedures
  • Supports development of ITPs, QIPs, and associated documentation standards, including all customer driven specifications.
  • Coordinates and handles all 3rd party inspection/testing on‑and offsite
  • Ensures that all calibration & testing tools and equipment are calibrated and meet industry standards
  • Ensures proper management of weld procedures for all project work and on site welding services
  • Manages supplier quality performance through qualification, auditing, and incoming material oversight to ensure purchased components meet specifications.
  • Partners with Engineering to integrate quality requirements into product design, change control, and inspection criteria.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing) required; progressive manufacturing quality experience may substitute for a degree.
  • 10 years of progressive manufacturing quality experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; exposure to oil & gas, or similar related industry preferred.
  • 7 years of quality leadership experience with ISO9001 or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Successful experience with ASTM and SME standards, as well as welding and NDE processes (UT, MT, PT, RT), strongly preferred.
Quality & Technical Expertise
  • Proficiency in advanced quality tools, such as PFMEA, SPC, control plans, process audits, and structured problem-solving (5 Why, Fishbone)
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, tolerance, and material requirements for machining, welding, and assembly operations.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality practices, including supplier qualification, incoming inspection, and supplier corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement, QMC, Compliance, and Data Analytics
  • Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean, SixSigma, and data-driven problem-solving methodologies.
  • Deep working knowledge of ISO9001 quality management systems and audit processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, updating, and maintenance of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation control systems.
  • Strong leadership experience, including developing high-performing teams and delivering site‑wide quality training.
Leadership, Training, and Communications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Customer Services, and external agencies.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and perform under tight deadlines in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and drive a culture of quality, prevention, and process excellence.
