Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks a senior quality leader to oversee the Henderson site Quality Assurance function, including QA, QC, laboratory operations, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will coordinate audits with customers and 3rd parties and act as the ISO/AS quality management representative.

Relocation is authorized; you will lead cross‑functional teams, drive cost control, and ensure compliance with strict aerospace quality standards across products and processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a Quality Management System (QMS) across QA/QC and laboratory functions.
  • Deep knowledge of ISO, AS, and quality management guidelines.
  • Proven ability to manage customer and third‑party audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Experience participating in cost reduction and productivity improvement programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Henderson Quality Management System planning and oversight.
  • Establish laboratory safety, on‑time delivery, quality, cost control and productivity standards.
  • Manage QA, QC and laboratory activities and budgets.
  • Serve as QA/ISO/AS representative and interface with R&D and other TIMET units.
  • Lead internal and external audit programs and corrective action processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support capacity expansions and new technologies.

Job description

Responsible for Henderson site management of the Quality Assurance function including quality assurance, quality control, technology development and laboratory. Interacts and communicates with customers and suppliers including customer audits and 3rd party audits. Active member of TIMET Global quality group responsible for ensuring proactive defect hazard mitigation and continuous improvement to the quality management system and product quality.

Essential Functions
  • Participate in the overall planning and oversight of the Henderson Quality Management System.
  • Establishes laboratory standards for safety, on-time delivery, quality, cost control, and productivity.
  • Manage quality assurance, quality control, and laboratory activities.
  • Support the employee needs of the Quality Assurance organization.
  • Serve as ISO, AS and quality management representative for Henderson.
  • Lead the development and customer qualification of new technologies, products, and processes.
  • Interface with QA/ R&D function of other TIMET units.
  • Responsible for adhering to AS and ISO guidelines.
  • Customer specification review and accuracy for order acknowledgement.
  • Manage internal quality audit program and process.
  • Manager Corrective and Preventative Action program and process.
  • Manage customer and 3rd party audits and visits.
  • Manage Outside Conversion Source audit program and process.
  • Develop and work to budgets to achieve cost management goals and initiate or participate in cost reduction and/or profit improvement programs.
  • Support engineering projects relating to capacity expansions, new technology and/or equipment-based process improvements.
  • Manage capital expenditures.
  • Effectively communicate company and department goals, achievements, problems, solutions, practices, changes, and policies. Encourage positive communication. Enforce all company policies, rules, and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages subordinate supervisors and employees in the Quality Assurance group. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Henderson quality team. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
