Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Wilder, KY seeks a seasoned Quality Liaison to drive customer-plant collaboration, improve quality metrics, and implement ISO/AS quality systems.

This role focuses on audits, procedures, and continuous improvement within aerospace manufacturing. Under the Quality Manager, you will bridge Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to resolve customer requirements and ensure compliance with AS9100/Nadcap standards.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in manufacturing machining and/or quality.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• 5+ years’ experience in Quality or equivalent education and experience.
• Knowledge of AS 9100, Nadcap requirements.
• ASQ/CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering relative to customer specifications and requirements.
• Represent Andrews Laser Works during customer and regulatory audits (AS9100, NADCAP, supplier oversight).
• Research, write and recommend changes to procedures, work instructions and forms.
• Develop and maintain electronic Quality reports and presentations.
• Participate as an internal Quality Auditor and oversee OAP Certifications.
• Support continuous improvement activities and productive team meetings.
• Ensure operations comply with specifications by collaborating with production and engineering.
• Train employees on Quality compliance, inspection methods, and procedures.
• Assist in developing Quality Metrics for cost, defect, and root-cause analysis.
• Conduct audits at suppliers to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Support root cause/corrective action as SME.
• Coordinate Process improvements across the Facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, is responsible for customer-plant liaison, implementation and improvement of statistical methods, quality cost analysis, specification and procedure development.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering relative to customer specifications, customer quality requirements, and customer problems.
• Represents Andrews Laser Works during customer and regulatory audit activities such as AS9100, NADCAP, customer, and supplier oversight audits.
• Research, write and recommend changes to procedures, work instructions and forms.
• Develop and maintain electronic Quality reports and presentations.
• Participate as an internal Quality Auditor and oversee OAP Certifications.
• Actively support and participate in continuous improvement activities, team meetings, and holding him/herself accountable for sustaining improvements.
• Ensures manufacturing operations are compliant with customer/internal specifications by collaborating with production, manufacturing engineering, and customer
• Train employees regarding quality compliance, inspection methods and procedures and consults manufacturing on Quality Management System and customer compliance, and regulatory issues.
• Assists in developing Quality Metrics to provide cost, defect, cause, and analysis to company senior leadership
• Conducts/Assists audits at suppliers/vendors to ensure compliance with specification.
• Assists in Root Cause/Corrective action process as a subject matter expert.
• Coordinate Process improvements throughout the Facility.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

• Two (2) years’ experience in manufacturing machining and/or quality
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States
• 5+ years’ experience in Quality or equivalent education and experience
• Knowledge of AS 9100, Nadcap requirements
• ASQ/CQE certification preferred

Education/Certifications

• Four-year degree Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent education and experience; Master’s degree level preferred
