Job summary

Leoforce in Chicago, IL seeks a hands-on Quality Manager to lead day-to-day quality operations on the factory floor, and to build and enhance quality systems, documentation, KPIs, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in quality management in metals/CNC contexts; Anodizing/metal finishing experience is a huge plus. Strong communicator, proactive and ready to grow a quality department as the operation expands.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality management experience on the factory floor.
• Metals/CNC machining or related industry experience preferred.
• Anodizing/metal finishing experience a plus; NADCAP exposure beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day quality operations in a hands-on, floor-focused role.
• Build or enhance quality systems, documentation, KPIs, reporting, and standard work.
• Partner closely with the GM, Project Manager, and operations leadership.
• Own quality metrics, trend analysis, customer complaints, and corrective actions.
• Identify and resolve issues around rejects, scrap, rework, and process stability.
• Prepare for and maintain certifications such as ISO 9001, ITAR, and future medical/aerospace needs.
• Implement continuous improvements across quality and production processes.
• Influence operators and guide quality expectations across the floor.
• Work with the former Quality Manager for training and transition support (NADCAP expertise available).
• Build and develop a quality team as the operation expands.

Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of quality management experience
• Metals, CNC machining, stamping, or related industry experience preferred.
• Anodizing/metal finishing experience huge plus!
• Energetic, proactive, and highly hands-on professional who thrives on the floor.
• Strong communication skills; listens well and collaborates with leadership.
• Degree helpful but not required.
