Job summary

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is seeking a Quality Manager at our Bloomington facility. You will lead quality initiatives, oversee the QC lab, and own ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 programs to safeguard product quality and customer satisfaction.

In this high-impact role, you will coach a high-performing quality team, drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, and serve as the primary quality contact for customers, auditors, and suppliers across the plant.

Qualifications

• Quality assurance experience in manufacturing
• Experience administering ISO 9001 systems
• Experience with Food Safety systems (ISO 22000, SQF, or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of statistical quality control and lean manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 Quality Management Systems
• Oversee QC Lab operations, calibration programs, and test method development
• Drive customer complaint resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
• Manage supplier quality issues and incoming material performance
• Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across the plant
• Support new product commercialization by establishing quality standards from development through launch
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing quality team
• Serve as the plant's primary quality contact for customers, auditors, and suppliers

About the Role

As our Quality Manager, you will serve on the Plant Leadership Team and own the quality function at the facility level - from lab operations and customer relationships to ISO management systems and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Lead and continuously improve ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 Quality Management Systems

What You Bring

• Quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 system administration
• Experience with Food Safety systems (ISO 22000, SQF, or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of statistical quality control and lean manufacturing principles

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Standard Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility for plant operations, audits, and customer needs
• Ability to stand, walk, and navigate manufacturing areas; lift up to 50lbs occasionally; PPE required in designated areas (hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes)
• Travel: Up to 25% (customer visits, supplier visits, audits, cross-site activities)
