Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Quality Manager for our manufacturing site to drive quality excellence across processes, systems, and culture. You will lead the QA function, own the QMS, and partner with Operations, Engineering, and Sales to resolve issues and prevent defects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in quality within manufacturing, strong ISO 9001 experience, and a proven ability to coach teams, implement improvements, and sustain customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality Engineering and/or Quality Management in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of leadership managing a team of five or more employees.
• Demonstrated knowledge and hands‑on experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, manufacturing processes, root‑cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement.
• Experience working directly with manufacturing operations and solving quality issues in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work through complex issues involving multiple variables.
• Ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Six Sigma and/or Total Quality Management experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Management System and own ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
• Analyze quality data, trends, specifications, and nonconformities to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop inspection, sampling, testing, and documentation processes to improve reliability.
• Partner with Production and plant leaders to improve quality while supporting efficiency and cost objectives.
• Lead customer complaint and claims resolution processes and communicate outcomes.
• Coach and develop QA professionals and establish clear expectations and procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Sales and corporate teams on cross‑functional quality initiatives.
• Manage departmental planning, budgeting, supplies, and resources.
