Job summary

ABB is seeking a quality-focused professional to support deployment of the quality strategy for a US-based unit in Pinetops, NC. You will lead NPI quality projects and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure product excellence throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include RCA/CAPA execution, audit participation, and training operators in basic quality testing. Candidates should have a STEM degree and 1 year of manufacturing quality experience; SAP/Windchill/Power

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is preferred.
1 year experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Knowledge of RCA and CAPA methods (5Y, 8D, 3A), FMEA, Control Plans, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

Lead New Product (NPI) projects for Quality using tools such as FMEA, Control Plans.
Conducting RCA’s and Implementing CAPA’s utilizing various tools such as A3, 8D, 5Why, DMAIC, Fishbone.
Evaluating new/current products/processes and implementing internal controls ensuring quality outputs.
Utilizing systems and tools to assist the Engineering functions with product data and evaluations to ensure that products meet expectations throughout their lifecycle.
Training operators and engineers in basic quality test and inspection routines to aid in quality-at-source processes.
Participating/Leading internal product and process audits.
Providing backup for laboratory analysis of epoxy/urethane/resin materials used in production.
