Job summary

ABB in the United States invites a Quality Specialist to lead testing protocols, ensure ISO 9001 compliance, and support CAPA driven improvements in epoxy and urethane materials.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will perform audits, maintain documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold product quality and traceability at ABB's Pinetops facility.

Candidates should have a chemistry background, lab experience, and knowledge of QA methods; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field with QA exposure.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems and CAPA processes.
• Experience in a laboratory setting with test methodologies relevant to epoxy/urethane systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical verification of in-process epoxy and urethane systems to ensure formulation accuracy, cure characteristics, and compliance with documented specifications.
• Conduct incoming material inspections and confirmatory testing against Certificates of Analysis; apply acceptance criteria and control nonconforming product.
• Lead preventive and corrective actions (CAPA) based on chemical analysis results; utilize root cause analysis tools and update control plans to prevent recurrence.
• Plan and execute internal audits of processes, documentation, and records; issue findings and verify corrective action effectiveness; maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
