Job summary

Suffolk Construction in Austin, TX seeks a Quality Manager to lead the project-level planning, implementation, and verification of the Mission Critical Quality Program. You will coordinate inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with codes, contract requirements, and client expectations.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, at least five years in construction quality leadership, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or related field.
• Minimum five years of construction quality, inspection, testing, or related Mission Critical experience.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals, inspection/test plans, and test reports.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project quality plan, inspection controls, and QA records.
• Coordinate third-party testing and inspections; evaluate reports for compliance.
• Manage quality issues and nonconformances through corrective actions and closure.
• Provide objective quality-readiness status to project leadership.
• Lead quality coordination meetings and mentor project staff.
