Job summary

ABB in Mebane, NC is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to lead equipment life cycle management and ensure reliability of production lines. You will develop maintenance plans, coordinate with engineering, manage budget, and drive cost-effective improvements.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in manufacturing, strong troubleshooting and leadership skills, and hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and automated systems. Legal work authorization in the US is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes; maintenance backlog experience
• Ability to lead and support maintenance personnel
• Advanced technical skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic & automated systems
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
• Legal authorization to work in the US
• Proficient with maintenance tools and measuring instruments
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs
• Knowledge of safety regulations (lockout/tagout, OSHA)
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and process optimization preferred

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements equipment life cycle management procedures for reliability and cost optimization.
• Coordinates with the team to solve major technical or facilities problems to improve production line performance.
• Carries out maintenance tasks as required.
• Defines maintenance plans for new production lines and recommends reliability improvements in collaboration with Engineering.
• Coordinates planned and scheduled maintenance of factory equipment.
• Develops and proposes improvement projects for processes and production lines to reduce maintenance.
• Proposes and manages the annual maintenance budget.
• Monitors costs and effectiveness of activities and takes actions to address cost issues.
