Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. in Georgetown, TX, is seeking an R&D Technician II who will perform material analysis, conduct testing, and report results clearly to teammates and stakeholders.

You will document methods, maintain lab equipment, support safety procedures, and assist in root cause investigations and raw material qualifications; an AA degree and lab experience are required, with a BA/BS preferred.

Qualifications

• AA or equivalent required; 2+ years in a lab environment.
• Experience with material science, statistics, and quality functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suites.
• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze samples and perform material testing and experiments.
• Report meaningful conclusions from evaluations and communicate results.
• Assist in root cause investigations and raw material qualifications.
• Maintain documentation and calibrate/maintain lab equipment; uphold safety and SOPs.
