Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. in Gainesville, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer II to support the quality culture at the plant.

You will manage calibration records, COA, raw materials and finished goods data, and work with process engineers to reduce variation in products. This role leads quality improvement projects using PI tools (MVT/DOE, Kepner-Tregoe PSDM), updates SOPs and ISO Quality manuals, trains production personnel on SQC, and collaborates with QA and suppliers to resolve quality

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering or STEM fields required.
• 5+ years of experience in a Quality/Mfg role.
• 3+ years demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years demonstrated experience in a quality role.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), lean/agile approaches, and structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations and process engineering to optimize finished goods performance.
• Manage quality data and testing frequency to improve quality control.
• Perform routine measurement system analysis (MSA) and act on results.
• Lead quality improvement projects using PI tools such as MVT/DOE and Kepner Tregoe PSDM.
• Coordinate capital improvements with timelines, budgets and resources.
• Update SOPs and the ISO Quality manual; train personnel on SQC.
• Collaborate with QA and other quality engineers to standardize best practices.
• Monitor claims and report monthly metrics.
