Job summary

Entegris in Aurora, IL is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Lab Technician to perform analytical, physical, and visual testing of materials, intermediates, and final products. You will enter data into SampleManager, calibrate equipment, and generate Certificates of Analysis for shipments.

The role supports the CMP Pads business and requires strong attention to detail, data integrity, and collaboration with the team on quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or quality lab experience of 1 year.
• Familiarity with statistical software (JMP, Minitab) and SampleManager preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical, physical, and visual tests on product for production, development, and customer samples.
• Enter data into SampleManager; address deviations or non-conformances.
• Verify and calibrate test equipment to ensure data integrity per ISO9001.
• Analyze data and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.

• Maintain lab work instructions and assist in developing new methods.
• Troubleshoot lab equipment of varying complexity.

Job Description:

The Role:

Our site in Aurora is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Lab Technician to join our team. The 2nd Shift Quality Lab Technician is responsible for the analytical inspection and testing of incoming materials, intermediates, experimental and final products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a focused and talented team of Quality Lab Technicians who support our growing CMP Pads business.

What You'll Do:

• Perform analytical, physical, and visual tests on product for production, development, R&D, materials engineering, and on customer return samples
• Enter data into SampleManager system; recognize and address deviations or non-conformances in products, instruments, and quality standards
• Verify and/or calibrate all test equipment per manufacturing recommendations and test methods to ensure data integrity and adherence to ISO9001 standard
• Analyze data or trends and prepare reports for communication to internal stakeholders
• Create Certificates of Analysis for product shipping to customer
• Participate in the maintenance of current lab work instructions and assist in development of new methods and instructions for the quality lab team
• Troubleshoot lab equipment of varying complexity
• Communicate effectively with other team members to promote a safe, positive, and productive working environment

What We Seek:

• Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (i.e. Chemistry, Biology, etc.) and/or quality laboratory experience of a minimum 1 year
• Knowledge: Statistical software (JMP, Minitab) and/or SampleManager preferred

Opening for 2nd Shift:

• Monday - Friday 2 pm to 10:00 pm (overtime may be required, as per business needs)
• Weekend shifts will vary when needed.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Self-motivated and learning disposition, with strong attention to detail and flexibility to change
• Technical knowledge of laboratory analytical equipment and general testing methods
• Understanding of basic statistical methods (SPC/SQC)
• Ability to follow organizational concepts and complex processes to complete work
• Strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to work in a team
