Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Round Lake, IL is seeking a Quality Lab Associate to support microbiology laboratory operations in manufacturing.

You will conduct biological testing, monitor environmental factors, and assist with QA investigations while adhering to cGMP, GLP, and safety standards. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or related field, 0–2 years lab experience, and proficiency with LIMS.

Qualifications

• Must not be allergic to Penicillin and Cephalosporin or related products.
• Bachelor's degree in microbiology or equivalent with biology/microbiology lab coursework and 0-2 years lab experience.
• Proficient in LIMS and basic biology/microbiology principles.
• Familiarity with GLP and pharmaceutical aseptic processing cGMP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in functions that impact production, cost savings and quality.
• Support improvement projects using LEAN principles (5S, Kaizens).
• Communicate with peers and management about progress and issues; propose solutions.
• Conduct biological testing on materials and products; perform sterility or endotoxin testing.
• Perform routine environmental and critical systems monitoring in the facility.
• Prepare media and reagents; operate lab instruments and record data.
