Job summary

You will maintain training records and collaborate with chemists and operators across departments. Requirements include basic lab studies and math coursework, with 1–2 years of lab experience or equivalent education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with laboratory coursework.
• 1 year of college lab studies, 1 year of college mathematics, and 2 years of laboratory experience OR 4 years in a food/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree with required lab studies and math plus related laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing on raw ingredients, in-process materials, finished product, and plant utilities.
• Test environmental samples for compliance to specifications.
• Maintain training documents and drive trainings.
• Identify and address immediate problems with supervision guidance, and initiate troubleshooting for minor testing issues.
• Recognize method procedure problems and out-of-specification conditions; perform Chemist I functions.
• Investigate root causes of quality concerns and implement corrective actions as appropriate.
