Job summary

Zing Recruiting is seeking a Quality Lab Analyst – Sensory in East Hanover, NJ. The role involves hands-on lab work, sensory evaluations, and product testing to ensure flavor and ingredient quality.

Responsibilities include sample prep, test execution, result evaluation, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with food safety standards. 1st shift, Monday-Friday, pay $24–$27/hour.

Qualifications

• Laboratory or QC experience and knowledge of laboratory techniques.
• Basic sensory evaluation capabilities preferred.
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Experience with laboratory systems, analytical equipment, and instrumentation preferred.
• Microbiological testing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of chemical substances, hazardous materials, and applicable regulations.
• Degree or diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• 2+ years of QC experience preferred.

• Perform sensory evaluations, as well as chemical and physical testing of flavoring products and ingredients.
• Evaluate products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Make approval or rejection decisions for finished products and raw materials.
• Review test methods, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
• Assist with quality investigations and non-conformance activities involving products and raw materials.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and monitor calibration schedules.
• Ensure laboratory instruments and equipment remain in proper working condition.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow established procedures.
• Perform daily activities in compliance with FSSC 22000 food safety standards and EHS requirements.
