Job summary

Kerry in Clark, NJ, is seeking a laboratory support role in our Taste Division. You will perform sensory evaluations and prepare materials for analysis, supporting production, QA, and R&D with a focus on flavor and fragrance materials.

The role requires an associate degree with GMP lab experience; a bachelor’s in food science or chemistry is preferred. The position involves a 2nd shift and lab-based duties in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Able to taste all products with no dietary restrictions.
• Able to smell various flavor/fragrance products and raw materials.
• Able to stand at a lab bench for long periods.
• Able to operate lab testing equipment and interpret results.

Responsibilities

• Perform sensory evaluations and test materials for flavors and ingredients.
• Prepare samples and materials for laboratory sensory evaluation.
• Learn sensory, physical, chemical, or instrumental evaluation methods.
• Retrieve standards and generate worksheets.
• Maintain clean and safe lab equipment and environment.
• Perform instrumentation testing (GC, HPLC, IR, colorimeter, etc.).
• Submit evaluation results to relevant teams and ensure quality protocols.
