Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. in Montpelier, OH is seeking a Quality Intern to gain experience in the Quality department, focusing on identifying, planning and verifying quality activities to support department success.

This is a fully on-site role with a schedule of 8am-4pm, Mon-Fri, and starting pay between $20-$22 per hour. The intern will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety and metallurgists and must be pursuing a degree in Materials Science or Metallurgical

Qualifications

• Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering Student, Sophomore level or above.
• Basic understanding of statistics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading continuous improvement efforts by analyzing data to determine improvement opportunities in operations, safety and/or quality.
• Work directly with engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety and metallurgist.
• Must be pursuing a degree of minor in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science.
• The ideal candidate will have a background in chemical/metallurgical process control, mechanical and electrical systems and data acquisition.
• A commitment to the continuous improvement of plant operations.
• All other duties as assigned.
