Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. in Montpelier, OH is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to develop engineering capability in design, development, product knowledge, and problem solving while supporting staff engineers, production and maintenance.

Starting pay is $20.00-$22.00 per hour, with a standard schedule of 8am-4pm Mon-Fri and on-site work. This internship offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering student, sophomore level or above.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• SolidWorks or AutoCAD preferred.
• Eligible to work in US (no sponsorships available).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with engineering, maintenance and contractors to complete projects.
• Assist engineering, maintenance or operations in gathering data and drawing conclusions.
• Assist in gathering information on standardization, new technologies and cost reduction ideas for CAPEX requests.
• Compile technical documentation for equipment manuals, troubleshooting guides and maintenance plans.
• All other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Engineer Intern Responsibilities:

• Coordinates with engineering, maintenance and contractors to complete projects

• Assist in gathering information on standardization, new technologies and cost reduction ideas for capital expenditure requests
• Compile technical documentation for equipment manuals, troubleshooting guides and maintenance job plans
• All other duties as assigned

Mechanical Engineer Intern Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering Student, Sophomore level or above
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Other Basic Computer Skills
• Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• SolidWorks or AutoCAD (Preferred)
