Job summary

JD Machine Corp. in North Ogden, UT, is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure every part meets aerospace-grade specifications. You’ll inspect machined components, verify with micrometers, calipers, CMM, and optical comparators, and review documentation to AS9100 standards.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of quality inspection experience or strong mechanical aptitude, are detail-oriented, and able to collaborate in a team. Overtime may be required to support production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined and processed parts (anodize, paint, chem film, etc.).
• Verify parts meet blueprint specs using micrometers, calipers, CMM, and optical comparator.
• Review and approve certs and documentation.
• Complete inspection records per AS9100 standards.
• Support audits and continuous improvement efforts.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Inspector, you'll play a critical role in making sure every part meets exact customer and aerospace-level standards.

• Inspect machined and processed parts (anodize, paint, chem film, etc.)
• Verify parts meet blueprint specs using:
  • Micrometers & calipers
  • CMM
  • Optical comparator & surface plate
• Review and approve certs and documentation
• Complete inspection records per AS9100 standards
• Support audits and continuous improvement efforts
