Job description

Shifts Available : Day

Schedule & Pay:

  • Day Shift: M-F 9am-2pm Starting Pay: $17.05+

Time Off Benefits: Earned paid time off and holidays

Job Summary:

The purpose of a QS Inspector is to verify that products produced meet quality standards established by following the procedures outlined for inspection activities. A quality inspection is an activity such as measuring, examining, testing, or gauging one or more characteristics of the product and comparing the results with the established requirements and specifications and confirming compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Verifying all materials used for daily production match the Bill of Material (BOM)/Requisition
  • Verify all documentation is completed correctly
  • Verify each machine meets required processing specifications during production
  • Verify all products pass quality inspections
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations
  • Follow documented policies and procedures
  • Maintain working knowledge of ISO 13485 requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Key Skills Required:
  • Detail orientation:An inspector should be aware of all changes in processes, functions, and results. They should be highly observant to identify slight differences in products and procedures to meet detailed standards.
  • Communication:Inspectors must communicate their findings clearly and frankly, so it is important for them to possess excellent written and communication skills. Inspectors will also need to communicate findings and ways to improve or rectify mistakes to other employees. In some cases, inspectors write protocols.
  • Training skills:Quality control inspectors may need to train fellow employees in certain processes and procedures. If an inspector finds and fixes a flaw, they should be able to instruct others on how to prevent future instances for a smoother workflow.
  • Technical skills:Quality control inspectors can use many different types of machinery or computer programs. They should have a strong knowledge of the equipment and programs used in their industry to maintain safety guidelines and complete tasks successfully.
  • Organization:A detailed process is an important part of a quality control inspector’s job, so they need strong organizational skills to perform methods of inspection and review. Organization may include keeping a tidy workspace and ensuring they can locate the right tools quickly.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of experience and education

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift 50 lbs. and regularly lift to 30lbs, handle tasks involving frequent bending, twisting, lifting, squatting, walking, and standing. May be asked to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects
  • Able to wear PPE consistent with requirements related to the production of swabs for medical use
