Job description

Radiology Ltd. is seeking a part-time Patient Quality Coordinator. This position is fully remote and offers flexible hours.

Role Overview

The Patient Quality Coordinator supports and enhances quality and performance improvement initiatives within Radiology Ltd. The role involves working closely with physicians, technologists, and administrative staff to uphold high standards of patient care and continuous quality improvement. A primary responsibility is coordinating and facilitating the physician peer review process to promote best practices and ensure the delivery of high-quality imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and manage physician peer review processes, including scheduling reviews, preparing case materials, and documenting outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  3. Lead efforts to address quality issues by developing and implementing corrective action plans with physicians.
  4. Act as a liaison among physicians, administration, hospital/referral partners, and clinical departments regarding quality matters.
  5. Participate in committees focused on quality, safety, risk, and patient experience.
  6. Assist with risk management activities, including incident reports and notices of potential claims.
  7. Conduct reviews, investigations, and follow-ups on safety events.
  8. Support clinical safety initiatives, OSHA compliance, infection prevention, and safety improvement activities.
  9. Implement and analyze radiologist peer review, peer learning, and variance reporting activities.
  10. Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in healthcare quality management, preferably in outpatient imaging or radiology; experience with physician peer reviews is preferred.
  3. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is preferred but not required.
