Job summary

GPD Optoelectronics Corp. in Salem, NH, is seeking a Quality Inspection & Packaging Technician to support production of InGaAs and germanium photodetectors. This full-time, office-based role reports to the Director of Quality, EH&S.

You will perform visual and dimensional inspections, document nonconformances, and assist with internal audits and calibration recalls. The position requires attention to detail and teamwork in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years manufacturing experience.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of optoelectronic products.
• Inspect components using microscopes and magnification tools.
• Verify dimensions and workmanship against drawings and standards.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
• Report quality issues to supervisors and quality personnel.
• Assist with root cause investigations by providing inspection data.
• Package components for preservation and pre-shipment.
• Support occasional raw material inspection and internal audits as needed.
