Job summary

The Davis Companies Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for a contract-to-hire role in Salem, NH. You will perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections on electronic assemblies and related products.

The position requires strong reading of drawings, BOMs, and specifications, with hands-on use of calipers, gauges, and microscopes. You will contribute to root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience in electronics or manufacturing.

• Experience with IPC standards and quality procedures.
• Proficient with inspection equipment such as calipers and gauges.

Responsibilities

Quality Inspector – Contract to Hire

An electronic component manufacturing companyis seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to support all phases of inspection throughout the manufacturing process. This is a contract to hire opportunity inSalem, NH.

Shift of the Quality Inspector:

9/80 schedule 6a-3:30pm M-Thurs every other Friday off with Friday hours being 6am-2:30pm

Pay Rate of the Quality Inspector:

$25/hr

Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:

• Perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections on electronic assemblies, PCBs, box builds, cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and finished products.
• Inspect products to verify conformance to customer specifications, engineering drawings, work instructions, IPC standards, and quality requirements.
• Examine assemblies and finished products for workmanship, defects, damage, missing components, and documentation accuracy.
• Interpret and review drawings, assembly instructions, bills of material (BOMs), specification sheets, travelers, and other quality documentation.
• Utilize measuring and inspection equipment including calipers, microscopes, gauges, and other specialized quality tools.
• Support root cause investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions for identified quality issues.
• Interface with internal departments and customers to resolve technical and quality-related concerns.
• Document inspection findings, non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality metrics.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure compliance with company and customer quality procedures.
• Support rework verification and inspection of production products as required.
• Assist in training and mentoring Quality Inspectors and production personnel on quality standards and inspection techniques.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications of the Quality Inspector:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality inspection within an electronics, electro-mechanical, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, and quality documentation.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection methodologies, and defect identification.
• Experience working with inspection and measurement equipment.
