Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Newark, Delaware is seeking a Quality Technician to perform testing of manufactured products and raw materials, ensuring customer quality requirements are met. The role rotates between 3x12 and 4x12 schedules, starting early mornings.

Responsibilities include inspecting DH panels, MMC castings, and machined parts, generating data sheets, and maintaining documentation. Experience with CMMs and calibration is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance inspection or equivalent education/technical training.
• Associate’s degree/some college education preferred.
• Experience using Zeiss Calypso, PowerInspect and PCDMIS CMM software highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products including, but not limited to, DH panels, MMC castings, and precision machined parts using gauges, calipers, micrometers, tape measures, CMMs, and other inspection tools.
• Generate spreadsheets and inspection sheets for data collection.
• Maintain accurate written documentation/inspection records and database entries.
• Reconcile final inspection documentation for product shipment.
• Test incoming raw materials.
• Follow SOPs, PCPs, work instructions and guidelines.
• Interact with customers by creating inspection reports/certificates of conformance.
• Calibrate hand tools as part of a measurement device calibration program.
