Job summary

Qnity is seeking a CMPT Operations Lab Technician to support the Delaware site on the day shift (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.).

You will collect and analyze samples, perform standard analyses, and operate QC metrology to ensure materials meet required safety and quality standards in a manufacturing setting. The role requires a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and data-recording skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• Ability to prioritize and complete routine testing in a timely, reproducible manner.
• Strong attention to detail to prevent and minimize errors.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products including MS Word and MS Excel (MS Access preferred).
• Excellent communication, analysis, troubleshooting and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze samples.
• Perform chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific tests, using standard procedures, in compliance with all safety and control standards.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate QC metrology, as required.
• Record data from product testing and inspection, organize data, and perform basic computations using standard procedures and guidelines.
• Verify products meet requirements and release raw materials for use in manufacturing to support manufacturing operations.
• Engage in Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis for raw material data and testing.
• Maintain lab inventory supplies.
• Travel locally between manufacturing campus laboratories.
• Comply with all safe chemical handling practices.
• Properly handle and dispose of hazardous chemicals and wastes.
• Complete safety observations and participate in safety improvements, as required.
• Work safely in warehouse and manufacturing environments by following established safety and operational procedures.
• Use powered industrial trucks, forklifts, and other industrial machinery to physically manage bulk materials used in manufacturing.
• Participate in continuous improvement work, as required.
• Ability to support overtime, weekend coverage, or alternate shifts as business needs require.
• May also perform laboratory analyses/operations for product quality, in-process samples, effluents, and materials testing in support of manufacturing operations, or may support other scientists in operations of laboratories, test/pilot facilities and in performing laboratory analyses.
