Job summary

Johnson Screens is seeking a Quality Inspector in New Brighton, MN to perform advanced quality inspections, tests, and analysis of materials, components, and finished products. This mid-level role supports root cause analysis, corrective actions, and maintains quality documentation, reporting to the Quality Manager.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in heavy-duty metal manufacturing inspection.
• General welding inspection knowledge required or preferred.
• Ability to read complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in using advanced measurement tools and SPC.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections and tests on materials, components, and finished products.
• Lead non-conformance identification and assist root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Conduct audits of production processes to ensure standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results and corrective actions.
• Assist in training Quality Technician I team members.
• Use SPC tools to monitor and improve quality throughout production.
• Ensure quality equipment is calibrated and functioning.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality systems and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
