Job summary

Lake Air Products in New Hope, MN is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our metals fabrication team. This on-site role focuses on creating inspection protocols for CMMs and visual inspection equipment, and preparing data for manufacturing, engineering, quality, and customers.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in 3D CMM programming (Zeiss Calypso or similar), strong GD&T knowledge, and ISO audit experience. Travel to Twin Cities sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in 3D CMM programming and inspection.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and reading drawings.
• Experience with Technical Data Packages for parts and products.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and project tooling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with programming CMMs and visual inspection equipment to inspect a wide variety of parts.
• Interpret GD&T frames and translate them into inspection output to meet specs.
• Develop test methods and fixtures for product inspection.
• Prepare Customer Documentation Packages (PPAPs, ISIRs, FAIRs, Quality Plans, Capability Studies, MSAs).
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Support Engineering and Production in inspection data interpretation.
• Improve data collection, documentation, and reporting processes.
