Job summary

OPW is seeking a Quality Inspector for an on-site role in Ball Ground, GA. The position performs routine inspections, tests, and measurements on materials and finished goods, ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards throughout production.

You will read engineering drawings, document results, calibrate equipment, and identify non-conforming items. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2–4 years of QA/QC experience in manufacturing, welding knowledge, and VT certification; BT certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years QA/QC experience in manufacturing.
• VT Certification (visual inspection) required; BT Certification preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office programs.
• Welding knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect output samples and incoming items using industry methods; compare to standards and measure dimensions.
• Ensure manufacturing adheres to QA/QC standards and procedures and complies with QA/QC requirements.
• Read blueprints and BOM specifications to compare to manufactured products.
• Record inspection results by completing reports and entering data into quality database.
• Update knowledge through training and calibration of measurement equipment.
