Job summary

Dover Corporation's OPW unit in Ball Ground, GA is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform routine inspections, tests, and measurements on materials, components, and finished goods throughout production. You will read blueprints and BOM, verify dimensional accuracy with calipers and micrometers, and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures.

Welding knowledge and VT/BT certifications are preferred. This onsite full-time role offers a hands-on environment with opportunities to contribute to quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient in MS Office programs.
• 2–4 years QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Welding knowledge preferred.
• VT Certification (visual inspection) required and BT Certification (bubble leak) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect output samples and incoming items; measure dimensions and test functionality.
• Ensure manufacturing adheres to QA/QC standards and procedures.
• Review blueprints and BOM specifications against manufactured products.
• Record inspection results and summarize re-works and wastes in quality database.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and radiographs; calibrate measurement tools.
• Use calipers and micrometers to verify dimensional measurements.
• Perform mass spectrometer testing on manufactured equipment.
• Detect flaws such as cracks, cold welds, splatter and undercuts in welded joints.
• Audit QA procedures and report non-conforming material in the appropriate system.
• Maintain and verify calibration of equipment; request repairs as needed.
