Job summary

OPW Clean Energy Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform routine inspections, tests, and measurements on materials, components, and finished goods across production stages at Ball Ground, Georgia. This onsite, full-time role requires accuracy and adherence to QA/QC standards.

You will read engineering drawings, use calipers and micrometers, perform mass spectrometer testing, verify calibration, and document results.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
2–4 years QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
Welding knowledge preferred.
VT Certification (visual inspection) required and BT Certification (bubble leak) preferred.
Proficient in MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

Inspect output samples and incoming items using standard methods and measure dimensions.
Ensure manufacturing adheres to QA/QC standards and procedures.
Review blueprints and BOM specifications; compare to manufactured products.
Record inspection results and summarize re-works and wastes in QA database.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and radiographs; use calipers and micrometers to verify measurements.
Perform mass spectrometer testing on manufactured equipment; verify calibration.
Detect flaws such as cracks, cold welds, splatter and undercuts in welded joints.
Audit QA procedures, work instructions and manufacturing processes; report non-conforming material.
