Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Quality Specialist to perform inspections in a machine shop environment and ensure compliance with specifications. The role involves reviewing traveler documentation, performing first article and in-process inspections, and maintaining quality paperwork.

The position requires 5+ years in a machine shop, proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other gage tooling, and the ability to work on the second shift (2:15pm-10:45pm).

Qualifications

• Reading and writing basic instructions.
• Basic math skills required.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Minimum 5 years in a machine shop environment.
• Experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauge, bore gauges, optical comparator).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years related experience or combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of manufactured products to ensure specifications.
• Review production reports for accuracy and documentation completeness.
• Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Review internal files for accuracy and revisions.
• Calibrate and verify gauges; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Support quality assurance activities and audits.
