Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our Alpharetta, GA shop on the second shift (2:15pm-10:45pm). The role centers on inspecting manufactured products to ensure specifications and reviewing traveler and production records for accuracy.

The candidate will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, and verify calibration of gauges in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a machine shop and familiarity with calipers and micrometers are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a machine shop environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; ability to write.
• Basic math skills required.
• Regularly exposed to moving parts and loud noise areas; teamwork essential.
• Demonstrable ability to use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of manufactured products to ensure product meets applicable specifications.
• Review production reports for accuracy and completeness of quality documentation.
• Perform first article, in process and final inspections in the development of finished products.
• Review internal files for accuracy and revision.
• Perform duties related to gage calibration and verification.
• Perform minor repair to measurement gauges.
• Perform quality assurance functions as needed (review, audits).
