Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure materials, components, and processes meet established quality standards. You will conduct inspections, document findings, and work with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, contributing to overall project quality.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in quality inspection, can read engineering drawings, and is familiar with QMS standards.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
Basic computer skills and experience with data entry or quality documentation systems.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001, ACI, ASME, or AWS (as applicable).
High school diploma or GED required, associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and standard operating procedures.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company quality policies.
Identify non-conforming materials or products and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Participate in internal and external audits, as required.
Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
Utilize a variety of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
