Zusammenfassung

Sundt in Burlington, TX is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure materials, components, and processes meet established quality standards. You will inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products, read blueprints and technical specs, and document findings to support continuous improvement.

The role requires 2+ years in quality inspection/QA, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with QMS/ISO 9001.

Qualifikationen

2+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
Basic computer skills and experience with data entry or quality documentation systems.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001, ACI, ASME, or AWS (as applicable).
High school diploma or GED required, associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
Strong understanding of measurement and test equipment calibration.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality-related issues.

Identify non-conforming materials or products and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Participate in internal and external audits, as required.
Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
Utilize a variety of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.

Job Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that materials, components, and processes meet established quality standards and specifications. This role involves conducting inspections, documenting findings, and working closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, knowledge of inspection methods, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1.2+ years of experience in quality inspection or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Physical Requirements:

1.Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
2.May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
3.May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
4.May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
5.Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
6.Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.
7.Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
8.Will interact with people frequently during a shift/workday.
9.Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis.
10.Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
11.Will work various shifts, including swing, night and weekend.
