Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Durant, MS is seeking an Inspector to verify conformance with specifications during fabrication and in finished metal products. You will inspect materials received, communicate quality issues to the team, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires an associate degree in industrial or mechanical fields (or equivalent), plus experience with measuring tools and basic software.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in industrial/mechanical field preferred.
• 1 year certificate plus 6 months related experience or equivalent required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read blueprints, safety rules and dimensioning standards.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and geometry basics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work in fabrication and finished products for conformance.
• Inspect materials received and communicate quality issues to team.
• Wears safety equipment and supports safety rules in all areas.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure assembly accuracy.
• Enter data into proprietary systems and report qualifying/rejected items.
