Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company is seeking an Inspector in Durant, OK to inspect fabrication work and finished products for conformance to specifications. You will verify material quality, read blueprints, and communicate issues to the team.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, plus training or experience in quality tools and measurement. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary; strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in industrial or mechanical field preferred.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school plus six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, and Excel is highly desired.
• Ability to use and understand quality tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance standards, and procedure manuals is highly preferable.

Responsibilities

• Wears safety equipment, follows safety rules, and promotes safety in the work areas.
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as scheduled.
• Interprets blueprints, drawings, models, or specifications to ensure assembly completion.
• Communicates effectively with supervisors and technicians.
• Ensures conformance and quality through inspection of parts and materials.
• Data entry of information into proprietary systems to report findings to the supervisor.
• Inspects mechanisms for correct mechanical function, assembly, cosmetics, and packing.
• Additional duties as assigned.
