Job summary

Qualifications

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector III.

The hours for this role are 7:00am - 3:30pm

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $32.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Summary: Responsible for performing nondestructive testing (NDT) and inspections on parts and assemblies. This position supports both the NDT and Inspection (receiving and final) departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

NDT

• This position requires obtaining and maintaining NDT Level 1 & 2 RT (radiographic testing) and PT (penetrant testing).
• Follow work instructions to process parts, document results, and perform equipment standardization in accordance with approved work instructions.
• Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
• Prepare parts before or after NDT in accordance with approved work instructions.
• Perform conventional and automated NDT Level 1 Inspection of welds, forgings, castings, machined surfaces, or other fabricated parts and assemblies to verify product conformance, following company procedures, customer codes, standards, and contractual documents.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of inspection activities.
• Receive guidance from a certified Level 2 or Level 3 in the method being performed when necessary.

Inspection

• This position requires obtaining and maintaining Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) certification for the FAA to support FAA inspections.
• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on parts and products, including mechanical and visual inspections.
• Use approved inspection checklists, engineering drawings, purchase orders, work instructions, and specifications.
• Utilize Non-Conforming Material Control process to document parts that do not meet specifications.

Ensure that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of daily activities.
