Revenue Cycle Quality Auditor I

Position Highlights:

• The Revenue Cycle Quality Auditor I is responsible for executing and documenting data and quality audits within Moffitt Finance teams to examine associated risks and evaluate the effectiveness of the Finance control environment, including monitoring adherence to policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
• This is an entry-level audit role, assigned to one or more areas within Finance, serving as a partner and subject matter expert upon ramp-up. The auditor works closely with leadership levels within these areas and with the Quality Audit Supervisor or Manager to provide feedback on processes and assess effectiveness of key controls.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with subject matter experts to understand audit scope, identify risks, define the population, and collaborate with process owners to gather documents.
• Prepare audit documentation to support findings, perform sampling, analyze accounts and workflows, and work with process owners to understand anomalies.
• Present results and recommendations to leadership, document findings and management responses.
• Create and maintain narratives of controls, and develop/maintain quality review scorecard attributes.
• Post month-end, gather Patient Accounts Receivable data, perform testing on samples, and analyze financial assertions for accuracy and completeness.

Credentials and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or an Associate’s degree with two years of relevant experience.
• No prior audit experience required for Bachelor's degree holders; two years of audit experience in lieu of a degree for Associate’s degree holders.
