Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Quality Inspector II to perform complex inspections and verify materials, workmanship, and processes against project specifications, codes, and standards. The role provides technical support to junior inspectors and collaborates with engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors to address quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or vocational certification preferred.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and interpreting blueprints and technical docs.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and applicable codes (AWS, AISC, ASME, API, ACI).
• Experience with project/document control platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, review, and maintenance of ITPs and QCPs.
• Conduct inspections of materials, in-process work, and final deliverables for spec conformance.
• Document findings and generate NCRs and CARs, ensuring traceability.
• Ensure safety and quality procedures are followed on-site.
• Mentor entry-level Quality Inspectors and coordinate third-party inspections.
• Review drawings and project specifications; participate in audits.
