Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Quality Inspector to help ensure materials, components and processes meet specifications on our projects. The role involves inspections, documenting findings, and collaborating with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of QA/inspection experience in manufacturing or construction, reads blueprints and technical drawings, and is familiar with QMS and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or QA, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001, ACI, ASME, or AWS (as applicable).
• Proficient with inspection tools and calibration.
• Basic computer skills and experience with data entry or quality documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans, inspection procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company quality policies.
• Identify non-conforming materials or products and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in internal and external audits, as required.
• Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Utilize a variety of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
