Job summary

Marotta Controls in Chaska, MN is seeking a Quality Inspector II to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies, ensuring conformance to drawings, PO requirements, and industry standards. The role requires reportable inspection data to customers with shipments.

The incumbent will create inspection plans, utilize CMMs and other gauges, and participate in data collection and documentation to support quality objectives.

Qualifications

• Technical school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-5 years' experience in test and inspection in a manufacturing environment with tight tolerances.
• Experience using GD&T, CMMs, optical/mechanical tools for inspections.
• Experience programming CMMs for mechanical components.
• Ability to create Inspection Plans applying GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create inspection plans to assure all drawing requirements are measured.
• Inspect products using gauges, CMMs, scales, and vision prior to acceptance or shipment.
• Perform inspections with calipers, guides, scanners, and measurement machines.
• Document inspection results and generate data packages for records.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to resolve issues and NCRs.
• Assist with training new hires and existing staff.
