Mechanical Manufacturing Center (MMC). You will perform a variety of tasks for inspecting mechanical and composite hardware to eliminate quality control issues. You will also prepare paper and electronic documentation on nonconforming hardware.Bring your continuous improvement mindset, focus on world class quality, and dedication to the critical responsibility of doing “what’s right” for the product and our customers to ensure the highest quality and success.This position will require working off shifts and non-standard work weeks and overtime as needed to meet product deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 1 Year of experience.
  • Experience in quality inspection techniques, and identification of nonconforming hardware
  • Ability to comprehend detailed work instructions, interpret engineering drawings, schematics, sketches, specifications and standards
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office applications, and the use of computer resources to access specifications, engineering drawings, etc.
  • Able to work effectively with cross functional groups - Engineering, Program Management and Customers with minimal assistance.
  • Displays maturity of action and judgment with a demonstrated track record of resourcefulness from previous work.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays depending on production needs.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of Space vehicles and architecture, programs, and requirements.
  • Knowledge and proficiency using VE-CAMS and SAP.
  • Broad mechanical production experience to include working knowledge of composite structures, machined parts, and mechanism assemblies
  • Previous industry related certifications to include: Hardware Torquing, Adhesive Bonding, Polymerics
  • Quality Assurance inspection background preferred
  • Understanding of engineering requirements including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management System requirements including AS9100, ISO9000 and/or AS9003.
  • Experience with Government Customers (e.g. NASA) and requirements flow downs.
  • Experience with dimensional inspection, including the use of calipers, pin gages, thread gages, and micrometers.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $37,400 - $65,895. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.
