Job summary

Clayens is seeking a Quality Inspector Level I for our Fitchburg, MA facility. You will perform visual and dimensional inspections of molded parts, audit incoming materials, and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.

You will interact with production staff and report to the Shift Supervisor and Plant Quality Director. Applicants should have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, be able to read blueprints and use calipers or micrometers, and communicate clearly in

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years Production knowledge in Manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, specifications and technical materials.
• The ability to work with coworkers in a team environment.
• English language proficiency, to include verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
• Analyze and interpret drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.
• Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
• Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
• Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.
• Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers.
• Perform duties with little or no supervision.
