Job summary

Clayens in Loveland, CO is seeking a Quality Technician Level III to perform mechanical/dimensional inspections of injection molded parts and ensure conformance to customer specifications. You will use CMMs, comparators and surface plates, and collaborate with MQAs and engineers on start-ups and in-process inspections.

The role requires reading blueprints, GD&T interpretation and hands-on experience with Zeiss Calypso and other inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints, drawings, specifications and technical materials.

Responsibilities

• Discard or reject products not meeting specifications.
• Analyze and interpret drawings, data and other materials to verify conformance.
• Notify supervisors of production problems and assist in corrective actions.
• Provide dimensional reporting interpretation to CNC technicians.
• Operate CMMs and inspection equipment during production and start-up.
• Discuss inspection results with product owners and engineers.
• Mark items with grade and acceptance/rejection status.
• Monitor production operations for conformance to specs and adjust as needed.
• Measure dimensions using calipers, micrometers and surface plates.
