Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Quality Inspector to join ourQuality team in the U.S. You will perform line checks, collect samples, verify packaging and materials, and ensure printed information is legible and accurate.

You will train others, support process improvements, and uphold cgmp and safety standards across assigned production areas. Responsibilities include seal integrity testing, validating equipment performance, and documenting results in POMS while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have basic English written and oral communication skills.
• Minimum of 6 months experience on a production floor or in a quality control role preferred.
• Proficient in use of measurement tools (Caliper, Micrometer, Ruler) and basic mathematics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Able to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT).

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled line checks: verify filling equipment, production supplies, assembly, settings, and batch signage.
• Collect samples and verify container/ components/ over-pouch meet quality standards; verify print legibility and leakage indications.
• Examine and verify packaging equipment performance meets quality standards.
• Test and confirm equipment passes/fails batch information and product.
• Collect samples of produced materials; inspect membranes, bags, tubing; verify dimensions are within spec.
• Perform seal integrity testing and various material tests (freeze mode, destructive oven, striation).
• Make minor operational decisions and provide guidance in absence of the Quality Associate; train peers.
• Participate in teams to drive process and equipment improvements; assist investigations of exceptions.
• Transport samples using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and document results in POMS.
• Write and submit SOP updates; record exception data for trending and reporting.
• Participate in validation for new equipment/processes and communicate results.
• Maintain 6S, clean and safe work area; ensure safety and quality standards.
